Bio

Richard McCue  is a Musician , currently residing in Wixom, Mi.

Richard was born in 1971 and as a child, was constantly tapping out rhythms on everything he touched. At 7 Years old, he got his first snare drum, at 8 years old, he got his first drum set. Upon graduating high school, Richard joined the U.S. Navy and subsequently completed the gauntlet that was the Naval Nuclear Power training program.

Richard was then assigned to the USS L. Mendel Rivers, a nuclear powered attack submarine, where having a drum set would have been......impractical. So Richard bought a small electronic keyboard and an electric guitar and set about learning to play them and writing his own music. By the time of his honorable discharge, Richard had added Bass guitar to his list of skills, as well.

In 1995, Richard was discharged from the Navy and reconnected with some high school friends with whom he went on to form the band, OWN. Richard played Bass in OWN and drew his inspiration from the alternative rock/grunge scene that had emerged in the 1990's. OWN had produced one album, "Aspect" and was working on their second, when, in 2001, the band dissolved. Richard decided to take a hiatus from music in order to focus his efforts on raising and providing for his children.

With the graduation from high school of his youngest child, in 2015, Richard returned his focus to music. He currently plays congas and guitar in an acoustic trio called The Visionaries, performs in a duo with AJ Lynn and also plays the drums in a rock cover band.
